Used HP Deskjet 460c mobile printer was received with no drivers installed (maybe it is supposed to be that way?); no quick start instructions or instructions of any kind; and no ink cartridges. A painful trip Best Buy resolved the driver issue and the missing ink cartridges problem, but the printer refused to recognize the black ink cartridge. The printer is going back as soon as I can figure out how to make that happen. I will only buy "new" in the future.


great little printer,prints really fast even with the wireless card.however be carefull when you order generic cartridges blk or color.they come from someones home ink brew from the bathtub.they work but the encrypton on the cartridge will detect as a fraud copycat cartridge,they work but don't print as clear.hp cartridges are very good especially vivera,but are very expensive.Also when installing the wireless card contact hp desk help do not i repeat do not try on your own,only try if you have 36 hours straight to install.

I was in Afghanistan and needed a printer.Something portable and simple. Well, it is portable. I guess it would be simple if it worked with Vista. The ad I read said it was Vista compatible. Wrong! Now it's a paperweight.


I love this printer. It's been all over the world and has never let me down. Easy to carry in the "foldover" mid section of a garment-bag type suitcase. Essential, though, is to buy the containers for the ink when it travels. Then put those containers into a plastic bag or 2 just to be on the safe side. Had one near mishap with one of the inks leaking (in the container) because, I think, the TSA people had opened it and not known how to put the cartridge back. Worked fine after I cleaned it up a bit. But I was so happy I had put the travel containers into plastic bags first. Another suggestion is to carry the cd for installation in case you have to use it with another computer while you're travelling. All in all, a fine product.


Easy to install on Vista. Nice portable size and good speed ans print quality for it's size. I have not tried it with the battery yet.


I have had this for about a year. I swore several years back to never buy any HP products again but since this had such good reviews I figured I'd give them another chance. The battery was DOA so I had another shipped to me, which wouldn't charge, so I had another shipped to me, are you following me? this is the 3rd battery and it won't charge with the AC power cable. So in order to use my "portable" printer on the road I have to either take a power inverter with me and the AC power cable, or find an outlet in a clients location, which is sometimes difficult as I work in the industrial construction field and finding clean power, in a clean area is, well, very difficult, not to mention unprofessional looking. I then have to set up my laptop, cables, printer etc. somewhere on a construction site and print before I get the whole setup full of dust or worse. I bought this thinking I could simply print a spreadsheet or proposal in my vehicle. Shame on me for expecting such a mammoth task from a "portable" device.


Pretty amazing product, no problems at all. I have carried with me to 5 countries and no problems whatsoever. Granted ink is a little expensive and does not last all that long - but what else is new?

Makes me profoundly more efficient in a hotel room and at a Client site.


I have a hobby of scoring Sailboat races and often travel to different locations to score regattas. I had several bad experiences relying on the printers provided by the sponsoring Yacht Club so I purchased this printer to be self reliant. This printer has worked GREAT. Good quality print, reasonably fast and easy to carry around. I highly recommend it.


I bought this as a gift for someone else, so I can't really speak to the ease of use, but I will say that the product description was a little misleading - it didn't really make it clear that when you buy the printer, it comes with no means of connecting it to a computer. You either have to buy a wireless card or a cable to connect the printer to your computer, both of which are sold separately. Just a word of warning.

Otherwise, the printer is very compact and lightweight and the person who received it as a gift seems to be very satisfied with its quality of print.
